We know we’re not the only ones who want to be a part of this important work! That’s why we’re happy to offer rich volunteer opportunities for the community at Hope for the Trail.
In addition to a certified therapeutic riding instructor, each rider has a team of volunteer aids to help give an extra hand and an encouraging word. They are vital to the success of each rider in the program. Our four-legged therapists also require a lot of love and care. There is something to do, everywhere you look, and that’s where YOU come in!
Volunteers (14 years and older – must have consistent transportation) can assist with riding classes, facility and stable improvements, general horse care, administrative office work and special events such as horse shows and fundraising events. Community service requirements for school and other organizations, as well as court-appointed community service restitution, is available for stable work positions only beginning at 12 years of age.
