Breaking Boundaries & Empowering Lives!

I own a Uni-lazy, and I am unashamed.

What is a Uni-lazy, you ask? Well, it’s basically adult-sized footie pajamas, made out of a Snuggie. Mine is brown, and makes me look like a bear. It’s hideous, really, but I don’t care because, well, WARM.

A while back, I threw a crazy pic of me, in the Uni-lazy, up on Facebook. It garnered a fair amount of attention. One person said that he would make a $50 contribution to our favorite charity if my husband, KEVIN, would wear it to Walmart, and Kevin said it would take a $5000 contribution to OUR charity, Hope for the Trail, for him to ever even consider it!

That comical exchange got us thinking, though, after it all died down. Could that be a way to have some fun and raise some money? We were getting ready to roll out our new web site in the coming weeks, and had already planned a crowd-funding campaign, so…why not?

Fast forward to today, where we sit two days into our crowd-funding, and $990 shy of meeting our first $5000 to “tilt” the campaign, and get our matching donation that’s been offered. So, THIS was posted on Facebook yesterday…

A badly photoshopped image? Yes. But a fine teaser, nonetheless!

I included additional incentive, by promising to get local press to cover his Walmart stroll, if we could reach our first $5000 (which gets us a matching contribution) in 24 hours. That ends at 2:00pm Central Time today, and we are only $990 shy of it!

Will you consider helping push us over to “tilt” the campaign? Our ultimate goal is $20,000 in 10 days (8 days left), but we don’t get any of the contributions thus far (or our matching donation offer), without hitting that first $5000 to tilt. We would SO LOVE to have you become our Partner in Hope!

Take a look around the web site to learn more about what we do, then if you would like to contribute, simply click the “Hurry! Donate to TILT Campaign” button in the header. If you’re ready right now, you can go directly to the campaign by clicking here.

Partnering together, we can make a big difference in the lives of people facing challenges of all kinds. And, well, that’s important enough for Kevin to chance being caught on the People of Walmart web site in my Uni-lazy!
